Brown Shoe Company Inc today said sales at its 924-strong Famous Footwear chain fell 0.2 per cent to £106.8 million for the five-week period ended January 5, 2002 compared to last year. Same-store sales were down 6.3 per cent while sales at Brown Shoe's domestic Naturalizer retail division, a 310-store chain selling the Naturalizer brand of women's footwear, were even with last year at $14.4m. Same-store sales increased 5.7 per cent.
