By GlobalDataFibre giant DuPont Textiles & Interiors (DTI) said on Monday it plans to axe more than 2,000 jobs - 10 per cent of its worldwide workforce - with its US operations bearing the brunt of the cuts. The Delaware-based company will shut its Terathane PTMEG producing unit at Niagara Falls, New York, and less competitive portions of the spandex operation at Waynesboro, Virginia, by the end of July.
