Gerber Childrenswear, Inc. today announced financial results for the first quarter ended April 1, 2000.For the first quarter of 2000, net sales were $60.5 million compared to $66.3 million reported for the first quarter last year. Operating income for the period was $6.1 million versus $8.1 million in the comparable period last year.
