USA: Jos A Bank Opens Two New Stores In Salt Lake
Jos. A. Bank Clothiers is to open two new stores in Murray and Provo Utah. They are the first in the company's westward expansion and are part of the company's plans to open 75-100 plus new stores by fiscal 2003. Jack Miller, a veteran in the Salt Lake City market, has many years of management experience in men's specialty retailing and merchandising and will be the district manager for the Mountain region. Robert N Wildrick, CEO, said: "The Utah market is thriving and we believe that our product will be very well received by customers. Jack's high standards and commitment to excellence in merchandising and service will be invaluable in serving this new market." The two new stores in the Salt Lake City area will offer the customer a complete selection of men's apparel. The inventory will feature classically tailored suits, sport coats, slacks and formalwear, plus the latest in corporate casual sportswear, shoes and accessories. Each store will have a highly trained staff of wardrobe consultants and on-site tailoring services. Jos. A. Bank plans to open up to seven new stores throughout the country in the next two months. In addition to Utah, the company will open new stores in New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, and Illinois. The store sites are in the company's target profile of high-end specialty retail centres.
