USA: Liz Claiborne To Spend $75m On Stores, Technology
In its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Liz Claiborne said it plans to open a total of 45 new stores in the remainder of fiscal 2002. The US apparel maker also noted that capital expenditures for the year are expected to be $75 million. These expenditures will focus on in-store shops, ongoing technology upgrades and expansion of the company's management information systems and distribution facilities, the company said.
