USA: New V.P. of Technology Joins Meals.com From Nordstrom Inc.
Meals.com, a subsidiary of Coinstar Inc. (Nasdaq:CSTR), today announced the addition of Tom Page as vice president of technology. Mr. Page joins the Meals.com team from Nordstrom Inc. where he oversaw the launch of the Nordstrom.com and Nordstromshoes.com Web sites and managed all technology support for Nordstrom's Internet and catalog operations. In his new position, Mr. Page is charged with leading the implementation of technology that will cut shopping and meal preparation time in half. "Meals.com is committed to remaining the Internet's premiere meal planning Web site," said Jens Molbak, CEO of Meals.com. "Tom's experience launching technologically sophisticated Web sites will be invaluable to Meals.com as we move forward." In addition to more than nine years at Nordstrom, Mr. Page also has experience at Electronic Data Systems, a leading provider of computer related consulting services. Also today, in a separate release, Meals.com announced the naming of Russ Ruby, formerly of Peapod, as vice president of marketing. The addition of Mr. Page and Mr. Ruby, along with the previously announced appointment of Mark Seals, a former executive at PepsiCo's TriCon Global Restaurants, as chief operating officer and Peter Barbaresi as executive vice president of sales, round out Meals.com's senior management team. Other members of the executive team include Jens Molbak as chief executive officer and John Melin as vice president of business development.
