USA: Retailer J Crew Hurt By Sweater “Softness”
Bosses of clothing retailer J Crew Group Inc said on Friday revenue fell to $124.6 million in December from $148.2m a year ago due to "softness in sweaters and outerwear". They revealed comparable store sales for the retail division fell 13.3 per cent and net sales for the direct division fell 14.4 per cent. Executives added there was a pick up in sales in the last two weeks of the period.
