USA: Sunglasses Firm Luxottica Hit By Oakley Lawsuit
Leading eyewear manufacturer Luxottica Group SpA will stop selling several kinds of sunglasses for the rest of the month after rival Oakley Inc filed a lawsuit for patent infringement. The lawsuit claims eyeglasses maker Luxottica, based in Agordo, Italy, infringed on Oakley's patent covering reflective coating for sunglass lenses. Luxottica then sold the four types of sunglasses in question to LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut stores.
