USA: Wal-Mart, Target Expect Improved June Sales
The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart Stores Inc, said it expects June same-store sales to climb about six per cent from the year-ago period, while rival Target Corp expects same-store sales to rise as much as four per cent. Wal-Mart on Monday said seasonal goods were selling well, while Target said its monthly results would be boosted by strong sales of children's clothing, although sales of men's apparel were weak.
