UZBEKISTAN: $66.7 Million New Textile JV Unveiled
A $66.7 million textile factory has been built in Uzbekistan by a Uzbek-Japanese-Turkish joint venture, leading news agency Prime-TASS reported yesterday. Quoting an official at a state-owned textile firm, it said the new plant will be able to produce up to 4,800 tonnes of cotton yarn and 2,000 tonnes of clothing a year.
