VIETNAM: Export Slump Hits HCMC Firms
State-owned garment and textile manufacturers run by agencies in Ho Chi Minh City have performed poorly in the first half of 2002 when compared to centrally run state-owned companies in the city, it was claimed on Tuesday. According to the Service of Agriculture, centrally administered state textile and garment companies in HCMC have enjoyed year-on-year growth of 20 per cent and 37 per cent, respectively, the Saigon Times reported.
