VIETNAM: Garment And Textile Exports Set To Top $2.5 Billion
The value of Vietnam's garment and textile exports is expected to soar 19 per cent to $2.5 billion in 2002 as a result of the new US-Vietnam Trade Pact, trade newspaper Thuong Mai reported on Wednesday. Many companies have already finalised preparations and processes needed to export to the US, while the country's Ministry of Trade will hold talks with the EU later this month in a bid to increase textile and garment quotas for that market.
