Among the latest developments from Japanese fastener business YKK is a new zipper that has been created for luxury apparel and features the smallest symmetrical zipper in the entire YKK product range.
According to the firm, the Excella size 2 has a new movable open end function and guarantees smooth operation of any accessory or garment. It notes the tape colours come in more than 600 different shades.

In addition, YKK has also unveiled a zipper that enables customers to create their own curved design without it being difficult to bend the zipper and sew. The Excella Light Curved, made with aluminium material, features a coloured, light chain and is suited for use within garments, accessories and shoes. It is available in a metal finish and colours include red, blue, violet, orange and green.
Finally, YKK says its new FlexFix DUP 7 button is ideal for use on small accessories including purses, wallets, and even on light jackets. Smaller than the FlexFix DUP 10, the button is available in the YKK elegant classic shape, with rounded edges or in a coin shape with sharp edges.
