ZIMBABWE: Textiles Sector Heading For Collapse?
The chairman of the Zimbabwe Textiles Manufacturers' Association (ZITMA), Ronny Zlattner, has accused US tariff restrictions of hindering the expansion of the industry. "Our sector has been shrinking owing to a number of factors such as high interest rates, inflation levels, high import costs as well as the flooding of local import substitutes which have rendered the industry non-productive," Zlattner said.
