Held from 10 to 11 June 2026, the event brought together manufacturers, brands, retailers, designers, and technology providers, each presenting products and services spanning fabrics to finishing processes.
Centred on the theme ‘Frontline to Future’, the expo placed a spotlight on Bangladesh’s evolving role in the global denim sector.
Major figures present at the inauguration included Bangladesh Apparel Exchange managing director Mohiuddin Rubel, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) president Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, European Union in Bangladesh Ambassador and Head of the Delegation Michael Miller and Bangladesh Denim Expo founder and CEO Mostafiz Uddin.
Alongside the product showcases, the expo hosted five thematic panel discussions aimed at addressing major industry issues and future strategies.
Session topics included ‘Negotiating the Future: Trade Agreements and Bangladesh Apparel in the Post-LDC Era’, ‘Stitching the Future: Just Transition in Bangladesh's Apparel Industry’, ‘Beyond Apparel: Product Diversification as the Key to the Future Economy’, ‘Financing the Future: Unlocking Green and Responsible Investment in Bangladesh's Denim & Apparel Sector’, and ‘Woven in Data: The Past and Future of Bangladesh’s Global Competitiveness’.
Speakers and panellists included Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary (East and West) Dr Md Nazrul Islam, Bangladesh Bank deputy governor Dr Md Habibur Rahman, ILO Bangladesh country director Max Tuñón, Italian Ambassador in Bangladesh Antonio Alessandro and others.
The expo also featured a Trend Zone to display the most recent denim trends and showcase innovations influencing the global denim market.
