TrusTrace said Brooks Running has chosen its platform to enhance visibility across its manufacturing supply chain, effectively identifying and mitigating risks associated with responsible sourcing and business continuity.

TrusTrace equips brands with real-time, verified data as materials and finished goods progress through the supply chain. The partnership enables the footwear company to make significant strides in realising its long-term commitments to supply chain traceability, respect for human rights, and reducing environmental impact.

By the end of 2022, all of Brooks Running’s Tier 1 factories had implemented TrusTrace, and the platform extended invitations to over 130 Tier 2 and more than 70 Tier 3 factories.

Shameek Ghosh, CEO and co-founder of TrusTrace said: “Through gathering granular data on where and how their products are produced, Brooks will be able to identify and work to improve the social and environmental impact of their supply chain, as well as comply with complex regulations.”

Looking ahead, Brooks Running plans to leverage TrusTrace to trace individual products, ensuring deeper transparency for consumers regarding the origins of Brooks Running’s products and materials. This effort will also improve the efficiency of collecting chain-of-custody data, allowing the footwear company to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Dave Kemp, director of corporate responsibility at Brooks Running, emphasised the importance of visibility into their manufacturing processes, materials, and raw materials to uphold their Supplier Code of Conduct. He added: "The expansive and complex nature of our manufacturing supply chain makes this visibility difficult. TrusTrace enables us to identify and mitigate responsible sourcing and business continuity risks and increase due diligence for customs compliance.”
