As part of the partnership, Carrefour Global Sourcing will deploy TradeBeyond’s CBX platform, which comprises six modular solutions to bolster supplier management for non-food products and improve risk assessment and auditing.

This collaboration aims to ensure sustainability and compliance with European sustainability laws.

The supplier portal and supply chain mapping tools of TradeBeyond will enable Carrefour to efficiently add new vendors, enable thorough supplier assessments, digitise contractual agreements, maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, and ensure essential environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and social compliance benchmarks.

To provide real-time sustainability data, the platform will integrate with amfori BSCI, ensuring that Carrefour's suppliers meet ethical labour standards and regulatory obligations.

Carrefour Global Sourcing managing director Jean-Daniel Gatignol said: “Carrefour is deeply committed to sustainability, and partnering with TradeBeyond allows us to take that commitment even further by introducing advanced digital oversight into all tiers of our supply chain. With TradeBeyond’s multi-enterprise platform, we can reduce compliance risks while ensuring our sourcing operations align with consumer expectations.”

TradeBeyond's sustainability tools, such as lifecycle assessment (LCA) solutions, will also offer Carrefour deeper insights into product specifications and materials used.

The partnership will help streamline critical procedures for Carrefour.

TradeBeyond CEO Michael Hung said: “Retailers today must navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape while delivering on their sustainability promises. Carrefour Global Sourcing’s implementation of TradeBeyond demonstrates its leadership in responsible sourcing, and we’re proud to support their efforts in enhancing supply chain transparency and sustainability while introducing critical efficiencies.”

In January this year, New York-headquartered clothing manufacturer United Legwear & Apparel partnered with TradeBeyond to bolster the traceability of its expansive supplier network worldwide.
