Fast Retailing's gross profit was 15.1% higher, while operating profit increased 31% to JPY743bn. Profit before income tax rose 23% to JPY802.5bn.

Divisionally, Fast Retailing's Uniqlo Japan, Uniqlo International and GU units all saw sales increases during the year. Its Global Brands unit saw a 2.3% decline during the period to JPY123.5bn.

Fast Retailing said: “The opening of high-quality stores that effectively convey the value of LifeWear, and strategically enhancing coordination of products, store displays, and customer communication helped increase support for the Uniqlo brand.”

Unqilo Japan recorded revenues of JPY1trn, up 5,7%. Business profit increased 8.1% to JPY196bn.

Uniqlo operations continued to generate growth across all regions. In local currency terms, South Korea, Southeast Asia, India & Australia, North America, and Europe all reported double-digit revenue and profit gains, while the Greater China region reported a rise in revenue and double-digit year-on-year profit growth.

Fast Retailing said Gu sales in the fourth quarter struggled “due to lingering issues with satisfying ongoing demand for Summer items and balancing product lineup, as the brand switched over to a new collection from Fall Winter 2026”, but it “improved the quality of operations by tightening product numbers and focusing on strong-selling items, and enhancing sales planning precision”.

Global Brands decline came from The Theory business being in a “global structural reform transitional period”.

The PLST business reported higher revenue and profit. The Comptoir des Cotonniers/Princesse tam.tam business reported a decline in full-year revenue and a slight contraction in business losses in local currency terms. Operating losses contracted significantly compared to the previous year, in which an impairment loss was recorded.

In FY2027, the Fast Retailing Group expects to achieve consolidated revenue of JPY4.45trn (+12.3%), business profit of JPY830bn (+15.5%) and PBIT of JPY880bn.

The news follows revenue and profit growth in Q3 FY2026 for Fast Retailing, driven by strong performance from its Uniqlo operations worldwide.
