Gartex Texprocess India concluded on 23 August after showcasing new technologies, advanced equipment, new material advancements, and services for the entire garment and textile industry of India.

The exhibition hosted 200 exhibitors from different segments of the textile industry.

The tradeshow on garment and textile machinery took place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi over three days with a visitor turnout of 15,790.

The exhibition attracted an audience from over 436 Indian cities and 31 countries across various continents including Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.

Jointly organised by MEX Exhibitions and Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, Gartex Texprocess India emphasised the products that deliver quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while promoting technological advancements throughout the textile and apparel supply chain.

The expo provided a vital platform for both domestic and international industry participants to explore opportunities, foster partnerships, and attract investments into India's burgeoning textile, denim, and leather sectors.

The event featured a wide spectrum of solutions including garment machinery, digital printing technology, accessories, embroidery techniques, automation tools, and sustainable practices.

It also served as a hub for industry dialogue where stakeholders could access the latest technologies and exchange insights on evolving market demands and operational best practices.

Interactive sessions such as ‘Denim Talks’ and ‘State Sessions’ from Uttar Pradesh - Bihar along with ‘The Textile Care Forum’ were part of the agenda. These discussions highlighted recent innovations across various domains such as fabric production, textile care (laundry), chemicals, inks, printing technologies, denim trends, sewing advancements, software applications, leather processing machinery, AI and automation.

R&B Denims director Nirmit Dalmia said: “We have been participating for the last five years. I feel like it's been an excellent experience to understand the denim trends, learn about new creations and meet our own buyers. We also get to know what people want from the denim market. We have displayed our new garment line for the first time. We have also displayed some fabric selections that we usually do for our exports, as we have been exporting for the last few years.”

Discussing contemporary denim trends and the prevailing tariff environment, Amir Akhtar, Group president & CEO, Jindal Worldwide said: “We have clearly seen a trend towards fabrics becoming lighter in weight. Consumers want a softer handle, more drapes and more fluid fabrics. If you see all the directional brands, they are launching garments which use lightweight drapey fabrics.

“The US tariff situation is a serious one for any company, where 25% excess tariffs are going to impact the whole industry. This issue should be resolved as quickly as possible. This impacts both the importer and the exporter.”

The Mumbai edition of Gartex Texprocess India is scheduled to take place at the Bombay Exhibition Center from 9 to 11 April 2026, expanding engagement with additional industry participants.

The New Delhi edition featured The Denim Show and specialised zones like Fabrics and Trims Show, Screen Print India – Textiles and LeatherX Pavilion.
