Titled Timeless by Design 2030, the new strategy builds on the company’s recent efforts to strengthen the resilience of its teams, communities, partners, and key natural resources.

Ralph Lauren aims to implement this approach across its value chain over the next five years, focusing on measurable goals in partnership, resource management, employee engagement, and community support.

Ralph Lauren chief global impact and communications officer Katie Ioanilli said: “By investing in the resilience of the people who shape our business, the communities we serve and the resources that make our products possible, we are reinforcing the long-term strength and durability of Ralph Lauren. Aligned to Ralph’s timeless vision that inspires everything we do, this work is enduring and foundational to operating a business that stands the test of time.”

Timeless by Design 2030 pillars and flagship programmes

The Timeless by Design 2030 is structured around four main areas with corresponding flagship programmes.

  • The ‘Partner for Impact’ pillar aims to reduce carbon emissions and water use and expand empowerment and life skills programmes for workers within the supply chain. Its central initiative, Design with Intent, will promote culturally sustainable design in both products and storytelling.
  • Under ‘Protect Natural Resources’, the company will focus on climate and nature-related impacts by developing products based on circular principles and supporting innovation in materials. Cotton Stewardship will serve as the flagship programme to advance regenerative and recycled cotton initiatives.
  • Through its ‘Engage & Enable Teams’ pillar, Ralph Lauren will introduce programmes designed to support employee development and foster an inclusive workplace culture. Only at RL is the main programme under this pillar, highlighting career-building opportunities at the company.
  • The final pillar, ‘Care for Communities’, continues Ralph Lauren’s initiatives in community engagement, including staff volunteering and philanthropic partnerships. The Pink Pony programme remains central to these efforts as part of the company’s anti-cancer activities.

Ralph Lauren plans to monitor and report annual progress on Timeless by Design 2030 according to its fiscal year schedule. The company states this framework enables ongoing advancement of its broader corporate strategy.

Following the introduction of its initial Global Citizenship & Sustainability strategy, the company has implemented changes across its operations to support ongoing progress.

Measures undertaken include lowering greenhouse gas emissions, reducing overall water consumption, ensuring that 99% of units produced meet at least one sustainable material standard, and increasing efforts in cancer-related initiatives.

In September last year, Ralph Lauren announced its strategic growth plan, ‘Next Great Chapter’, which targets sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
