This development follows an agreement with Stotz & Co (Switzerland) and Daiwabo Spinning (Japan).

The current European operations, including production and sales of Ventile, will persist under a partnership with Weichert. Brand director Daniel Odermatt and sales manager Wolfgang Müller will also be retained as part of the agreement.

MNIF's strategy includes expanding product development within Japan and other Asian markets to cater to diverse performance requirements and sourcing strategies.

The collaboration with Weichert is aimed at propelling the Ventile brand on a global scale, using MNIF's expertise in product development and its comprehensive distribution network.

Ventile brand director Daniel Odermatt said: “This marks a new and exciting chapter for Ventile. The acquisition by MN Inter-Fashion not only strengthens Ventile’s presence in Europe but also opens further avenues for innovation and development across Asia.

"At Ventile, we remain deeply committed to producing high-quality textiles. With our established team continuing operations in Europe and MNIF’s strong network in Asia, we’re confident this move will allow us to further strengthen and elevate the brand. We look forward to building on our legacy, forming new partnerships, and continuing to support the designers who are shaping the future of the industry.”

The Ventile deal follows the acquisition of Pertex, another high-performance fabric brand widely used by top sports apparel manufacturers. Pertex, which is based in Lancashire, England, was acquired from Perseverance Mills in 2005.
