Vertically integrated denim fabric and garment manufacturer Artistic Milliners is boosting its sustainability and workflow efficiencies after incorporating Browzwear’s 3D digital design technology into its workflow.

The Pakistan based denim major has an annual production capacity of 108m metres of fabric and 30m garments and invested in the new technology to help speed time-to-market, and reduce its water, energy and chemical use throughout the product development process.

Artistic Milliners also has a presence in Dubai and the United States, most recently acquiring the Star Fades International wash and finishing facility in California to cater to future demands for near-shoring capacity, digital design services and sustainable solutions.

Since integrating 3D into the design workflow, Artistic Milliners says it has experienced a significant speed-up in fit development and sample approval processes, as these can now be done digitally. As a result, the company is scaling up with more of its teams’ onboarding into 3D through Browzwear’s e-learning platform, Browzwear University.

“Expanding on the Industry 4.0 principles, Artistic Milliners is investing in contemporary digital solutions that will work well with our existing automation portfolio,” explains director Murtaza Ahmed. “Browzwear offers the right mix of tools to create true-to-life 3D designs with the flexibility to integrate with our automated cutting and finishing processes. Digitisation is the future, and we want to take a lead on this front.

“We are excited that our brand partners now have the option of working on 3D designs with us. We anticipate that 3D digital samples will greatly reduce the design iterations and speed to market resulting in improved productivity and sustainability. It is yet another step towards green value chain creation.”
