China to host Sustainable Apparel Coalition’s first Manufacturer Forum since 2019

Non-profit Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) is bringing back its in-person Manufacturer Forums with the first event taking place in China on 25 July.

SAC explains the Manufacturer Forums are a series of action-oriented events aimed at bringing business leaders and stakeholders together to learn how they can leverage the Higg Index suite of tools and industry programmes to drive sustainability improvements throughout global supply chains.

The first Manufacturer Forum, which is taking place later this month at China’s Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel has the theme ‘Catalyst for Change’. It will feature sessions on policy, supply chain dynamics, decarbonisation, standardising facility data collection and verification.

SAC points out these forums give attendees an opportunity to understand how its member organisations work together to drive improvements in the apparel, footwear, and textile industry.

Attendees will also learn how to use the Higg Index suite of tools and stay up-to-date on recent tool updates like the FEM 4.0, which is scheduled to launch later this year. They will also learn about industry programmes such as the SAC’s newly launched decarbonisation programme.

The second in-person Manufacturer Forum is scheduled to take place in Bangalore, India on 4 December 2023.
