Through the long-term franchise agreement, Reliance Retail has become the official retailer for Gap across all channels in India. Reliance Retail will introduce Gap’s fashion offerings to Indian consumers through a mix of exclusive brand stores, multi-brand store expressions, and digital commerce platforms.
The partnership is aimed at leveraging Gap’s position as a leading casual lifestyle brand, and Reliance Retail’s competencies in operating omni-channel retail networks and scaling local manufacturing, and driving sourcing efficiencies.

Last month, Gap Inc was among the latest ten companies to announce new commitments to create economic opportunity in northern Central America as part of Vice President Kamala Harris’ Call to Action for the region.
As part of its commitment, Gap Inc plans to increase its sourcing in Central America by approximately $50m per year, for a total growth commitment of $150m by 2025, as part of its strategy to increase supply chain resilience by nearshoring more production to the Western Hemisphere. These increased purchases from the region will support an estimated 5,000 additional jobs in Central America.
