Bland will join PVH Corp’s executive leadership team (ELT) as EVP and chief strategy officer on 31 October and will report to CEO Stefan Larsson.
Bland joins Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger-owner PVH from Kontoor Brands, Inc. where she was executive vice president, global strategy for almost four years and was responsible for growth and corporate strategy, consumer insights, innovation platforms and key transformational project, as well as being an integral member of its executive leadership team.
Bland said: “I’m thrilled to be joining PVH at this incredibly exciting time as the company moves ahead with speed to activate its PVH+ Plan. PVH has a truly unique opportunity to grow two of the most iconic brands in the world across global markets and I look forward to working with the talented team there to help drive the connection between brand, strategy, transformation and growth.”
Larsson added: “Sara brings a rare combination of global strategy and operational excellence expertise. She is highly analytical as well as consumer and brand-centric, and has a strong, successful track record of partnering with company leaders to operationalise strategies to drive measurable results. Having recently launched our multiyear PVH+ Plan, Sara will play a critical role, working with me and the ELT, in driving our strategy forward to unlock the full potential of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger and deliver long-term sustainable growth.”
Prior to working within the fashion industry, Bland spent over a decade in senior strategy roles with global consumer organisations, including GlaxoSmithKline and PepsiCo, moving from strategy and marketing to business leadership.
She began her career with Proctor & Gamble in Canada in sales and marketing roles, before joining Booz Allen Hamilton as a consultant focused on consumer and retail strategy and operations.
Last month PVH Corp announced Trish Donnelly, CEO of PVH Americas and Calvin Klein Global, was leaving to pursue other opportunities but would remain in an advisory role until 30 November to facilitate the transition.
