Under the terms of the deal the PDS Limited-owned Poeticgem Group will design, source and distribute products under the Little Mistress portfolio of brands worldwide.

Founded in 2010, Little Mistress is known for its hand-embellished designs. The group has also created white-label brands for high-street retailers.

Headquartered in Watford, UK, Poeticgem specialises in design-led sourcing and owns multiple brands as well as offering brand management services and supply chain solutions to retailers and brands.

Earlier this year, Little Mistress struck a deal with Sainsbury’s, making its SS23 collection available online through the UK supermarket’s clothing brand Tu.

Little Mistress founder and CEO Mark Ashton will join the Poeticgem Gem Group, taking responsibility for driving the brand under its new trading name – Moda & Beyond, under the Poeticgem umbrella.

Ashton comments: “I am thrilled to be a part of this new endeavour and to join the Poeticgem team and the larger PDS Group. Little Mistress, with its remarkable short lead capability, now has the advantage of working with sound financial backing of Poeticgem Group. Moreover, we are proud to share that we have a successful history of collaboration with Sainsbury’s amongst others, having recently curated and launched the Vogue Williams x Little Mistress X Sainsbury collection. Together, these partnerships underscore our commitment to innovation.”

Poeticgem Group’s managing director Anuj Banaik adds: “We are delighted to welcome Mark Ashton and his team as they join the Poeticgem family.  We are thrilled to embrace Mark and his team as they embark on this thrilling journey with us, embodying a perfect match with our ethos and values. This aligns seamlessly with our overarching vision for the brand’s business, which revolves around providing exceptional and unique fashion experiences to our valued clientele.”

The news comes months after PDS Limited signed a long-term strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group (Authentic) to establish Ted Baker Design Group as the brand’s global hub for design and innovation.
