Australian swimwear brand Zoggs has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, pledging to donate 10% of its Ecolast swimwear profits to the Healthy Seas initiative.
Zoggs, which has its headquarters in London, UK, but was founded in Sydney in 1992, recently developed its new Ecolast apparel collection, made with Econyl yarn.

Econyl is created by Italian yarn maker Aquafil, which transforms abandoned fishing nets collected by the likes of the Healthy Seas initiative into yarn which in turn is used to create sustainable products, such as the Ecolast range.
Working with divers, schools, NGOs, and governments, the Healthy Seas not-for-profit raises awareness of the environmental damage these nets cause and estimates some 640,000 tonnes of fishing equipment is discarded in our oceans every year, each taking hundreds of years to decompose.
The group also collaborates with fishermen, fish farms and local communities to prevent these nets ending up in the sea by helping to source responsible solutions.
Through the partnership, Zoggs will also work with Healthy Seas on other initiatives such as running beach cleans, supporting conservation events and will even join Healthy Seas on some of its dives.
